tooth house
I used to use a lot of x-rays in my artwork. Most often I'd use them in the darkroom, printing through them as if they were negatives. At one point I was going to various hospitals and asking their radiology departments if I could have a bunch of their old x-rays. The x-rays in the image above came from my dentist. They're very small x-rays of someone's teeth from all different angles, mounted in a little advent calendar-style cardboard holder. I taped it to my bedroom window and took this picture early one morning with the shade drawn and the light coming through.
